“Ms. Verdon assisted the Lenore G. Tawney Foundation with a very large undertaking: the preparation of nearly 150 of Tawney’s historic textiles for relocation to art storage. These pieces ranged from works just several inches square to weavings 17 feet in length. Each work required individual attention and planning which Ms. Verdon executed with great care. She continues to assist the Foundation with special projects, as needed. Her contribution to ensuring that the legacy of this twentieth-century master is preserved has been invaluable.”

Flemish Verdure Tapestry, 18th Century
Treatment included surface cleaning, wet-cleaning, conservation and stabilization, support & hanging system
“I have a Flemish Verdure tapestry that has been passed down through generations and seen some serious wear and tear—insects, stains, dirt. The color was completely faded. Tatiana’s loving and thorough conservation completely transformed the piece. The damage has been delicately repaired, it has an elegant new liner, and the colors are so bright I can barely recognize it. This conservation proved to be a fabulous investment, and I know this piece will give our family pleasure for generations to come.”

Native American Woven Bead Straps
Treatment included conservation, pressure-mounting and framing
“It was a great pleasure to work with Ms. Verdon, who took on the challenging project of restoring and preserving the Native American beaded strips I inherited from my dad.
